INGREDIENTS :
(A)
 2 cm ginger
 2 cloves garlic, peeled
 1 onion, peeled and halved
(B)
 2 tbsp olive oil
(C)
 1 red capsicum, deseeded and quartered
 1 large carrot, cut into 3 cm
(D)
 190 g red lentils, rinsed
 450 ml water
 2 tbsp chicken stock
 1 tsp ground coriander
 1 tsp ground cumin
 ¼ tsp chili flakes
 1 tin tomatoes, chopped
Garnish
 1 sequeeze fresh lemon juice
 Pinch of salt to taste
 Yogurt (optional)

PREPARATIONS :
1

- Soak red lentils in warm water for at least half an hour.
- Wash and rinse the soaked lentils.
- Set asides.

COOKING METHODS :

- Add in ingredients (A) garlic, ginger and onion to chop.
Press TURBO 3 Seconds

- Add ingredients (B) oil into mixing jar to saute.
Settings: Timer: 3 Minutes / Speed: 1 / Temperature: 120°C

- Add ingredients (C) capsicum and carrot into mixing jar to blend.
Settings: Timer: 10 Seconds / Speed: 5

- Scrape down side of jar.

- Add remaining ingredients (D) to cook.
Settings: Timer: 20 Minutes / Speed: 1 / Temperature: 120°C
Notes: place simmering basket on top to prevent water splatter.

- Serve, taste with salt and serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, pinch of salt or yogurt
