Preparation:
- Soak the dried snow fungus and peach gum for at least 2 hours in warm water until soft and plump.
- Discard water and cut snow fungus into smaller pieces and then trim off the yellowish crusty part at the bottom. Discard those
- Rinse thoroughly and drain water.
-Rinse the red dates or black dates, lotus seeds (optional), dried longan, and goji berries with clean water before using.
- Soak red dates or black dates in warm water for 5 minutes and then use small knife to make a slit and remove pits in the middle
- Use a small knife to pry open the lotus seeds and remove the black seed in the middle. Soak the seeds in hot boiling water while you prepare other things.
(A) Start stewing.
- Place all ingredients except rock sugar and goji berries into mixing bowl to stew.
- Settings: Timer: 55 Minutes / Speed: 1 / Temperature : 100°C / HP: 4
- Place the large steamer on top to prevent water splatter.
(B) Continue stewing.
- Add rock sugar and goji berries to cook.
- Settings: Timer: 2 Minutes / Speed: 1 / Temperature : 100°C / HP: 4
- The dessert can be served warm or chill
- Leftover can be stored in the refrigerator. I recommend not to store for more than 3 days if possible
