INGREDIENTS :
 560 g chicken breasts, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
 3 tbsp vegetable oil
 1 clove garlic, minced
 6 kumquats, thinly sliced
 ½ tsp sesame oil
Marinade Chicken
 1 tbsp soy sauce
 ½ tsp ground Szechuan pepper
 ¼ tsp salt
Sauce
 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
 1 tbsp soy sauce
 1 tsp sugar
 1 tsp corn starch
 60 ml water
Garnish
 1 tsp sesame oil, toasted
 2 green onions
INFORMATION :

- The name kumquat is derived from the Cantonese gam gwat which means “gold orange”.
- These fruits are considered auspicious and the shrubs are often used as ornamental plants during the Chinese (Lunar) New Year.
- These are sometimes mixed with water to make a tea thought to help sooth sore throats.

PREPARATIONS :

Marinate Chicken
- Cut the chicken into 1/4 inch thick slices. In a medium bowl, marinate the chicken with all the ingredient together for 20 Minutes. Make sure the chicken is completely coated.

Sauce
- Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

COOKING METHODS :

- Install blunt blade.
- Add 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil and marinated chicken into mixing jar to fry on each side until golden brown and cook through.
Settings: Timer: 6 Minutes / Speed: 1 / Temperature : 120°C

- Transfer and arrange on a plate.

- Add the remaining vegetable oil, garlic and mixture sauce to stir fry until aromatics and sauce thickens.
Settings: Timer: 2 Minutes / Speed: 2 / Temperature : 120°C / Heat Power : 5

- Add kumquats and sesame oil and continue to saute.
Settings: Timer: 2 Minutes / Speed: 2 / Temperature : 120°C

- Pour sauce over cooked chicken.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions on the top.
- Serve immediately with steamed rice.
