Cake
- Pre-heat oven to 180°C. Line & grease a 8” cake tin and set aside.
Temperature: 180°C
- Place the dark chocolate in the mixing jar, close the lid and press TURBO.
Settings: Timer: 5 Seconds
- Transfer to a small bowl.
- Place the walnuts into the mixing jar, start chop.
Settings: Timer: 5 Seconds / Speed: 10
- Transfer to a small bowl.
- Add the butter and caster sugar, then emulsify.
Settings: Timer: 2 Minutes / Speed: 5 / Temperature: 37°C
- Add the chopped chocolate and walnuts.
- Add the flour, baking powder, whole milk, eggs, cocoa powder and instant coffee. Then mix.
Settings: Timer: 30 Seconds / Speed: 5
- Scrape down sides. Continue mix.
Settings: Timer: 20 Seconds / Speed: 5
- Pour the mixture into the cake tin.
- Bake 1 hour @ 180°C.
Timer: 60 Minutes / Temperature: 180°C
- Remove and set aside. Leave to cool for 10 minutes. Then tip upside down onto a wire rack and leave it cool.
- Press TURBO to grate the chocolate then add whipping cream and butter.
Settings: TURBO Timer: 5 Seconds
- Pour the ganache over the cooled cake and spread evenly as you wish. Leave to set slightly, then serve.
