- Put the sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat on medium heat, swirl the pan regularly to spread the heat evenly.
- When sugar has turned golden brown, pour into ramekins, and spread to cover the base.
- Put in eggs and sugar in the mixing jar and mix.
Settings: Timer: 10 Seconds / Speed: 5
- Add milk and vanilla essence.
Settings: Timer: 5 Minutes / Speed: 2 / Temperature: 70°C
- Pour mixture in the ramekins.
- Place the ramekins in the steamer and cover with a parchment of grease proof baking paper so that the steam water will not drip on top of the crème.
Notes:
- Place ramekins or pudding cups fit into the steamer, height max 5cm
- Add in 500ml water to the mixing jar and place the steamers on top of the lid cover.
- Select preset mode R- “STEAM “ Auto Settings Timer : 20 Minutes / Temperature: 120°C
- Remove from the steamer carefully. Cool in refrigerate 4 hours. To server, slide a knife around the side of each ramekin to loosen the cream. Turn it out on a dessert plate and top it with extra caramel, if you want.
